Name: Hand Slaps Grade:K-5 Time: 5 Minutes Type:Small groups Formation:In a circle sitting, on knees or plank position(Push up position) Where/How:On the floor in place Equipment:Music: To play during game if desired Directions: Students will be assigned to small groups of 4-6 Students will make a circle with their group and hold their upper body up in a plank position. Students will place their hands right below their shoulders. Once everyone is up they will place their left hand over to the left side of the persons right hand. On the go, the teacher will assign a student to start the taps with their hands. Students will tap their hand on the ground when it’s their turn as they tap clockwise. If a student misses their turn or goes out of turn they must start from the beginning. 4-5 May start in plank position with knees off the ground 2-3 May start in plank with knees down K-1 May start sitting crisscross applesauce Challenges: Students can double tap to reverse the direction You can add a second start point Groups can be combined Younger grades can try planks on knees or off knees
