Name: Four Corners Grade: K-5 Time: 5 Minutes Type:Whole class Formation: Standing behind pushed in chair Where/How: Walking in the classroom Equipment: 4 corners in the room or 4 walls in the room Student counter or Student to call out who’s out Directions: Students will push in their chairs and wait for the teacher or an assigned student or teacher to start counting from 1-10. The teacher will designate where 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be. (1-4 or N, E, S, W) The teacher will also pick a student who will have their eyes closed and pick between 1-4 or N, E, S W. When the teacher or student counts 1-10, students must walk to an assigned area and wait. By the time the counter reaches 10 everyone must have picked a number to stand by. If your number is called you are out and must go back to your desk. The last person standing wins and they can be the person that picks who will be out in the next round. No sharing assigned areas when 4 or fewer students are left. This is a silent game, which means the walkers and those at their desks must be quiet.
