This lesson looks at the basics of atomic structure. Students will learn how to use the periodic table to identify numbers of electrons, protons and neutrons for an atom. The term "isotope" is introduced and we compare different isotopes of elements and learn to represent isotopes through hyphen and nuclear notations.
