Wycliffe Gordon - warmup with plunger mute
Music
warmup with plunger mute by Wycliffe Gordon
This is your typical household toilet plunger. But the jazz musicians from the early 1900s used to use it too, put to the belt of their horns, brass instruments to make vocal sounds. It kind of functions like a lord John. So you're going to be open and close, you create a house when you're playing. Sometimes during my pre concert, warm up, I will play with the plunger and the mute inside and it becomes an exercise to try to navigate through the various devices I like to use when I play. So my pre warm up may also go like this. And this is one with the plunger mute. But. It is. That's it.
