Relation because the X value and the Y value have a relationship. Remember we discussed that. This Y value depends on whatever the X value is. If this X value changes to the number one, the Y value is also going to change. So they have a relationship or we can call them a relation. I can ask you for the X intersect. The X intercept means I need two numbers. I need a number in the X place and I need a zero to always go in the Y place. This is called your X intercept. Sometimes they'll say, oh, the X intercept is four. I need you to know that the X intercept is really four comma zero. I can also ask you for the Y intercept. This is CE PT. The Y intercept means that you have a zero and the X place, and you have a number, and the Y place. This is called your Y intercept. This is where the point touches the Y axis. The X intercept is the point in which the point touches the X intercept. So now we're going to go into graphing and show you how that looks.
