The Honey Foundation's Kindness Education Program

THF offers Kindness Education Programs (KEP) to Pre-K-12 schools to decrease extreme disciplinary behaviors in the classroom, like fighting and bullying. KEP is currently being offered to more than 10,000 students across the United States and KEP has proven to reduce disciplinary actions at school by 51%. We think current social programs available to schools and students focus too much on negative behaviors – and consequences for negative actions. Students learn what they aren’t supposed to do. (Don’t Bully. No Fighting. Stop Running.) But, fighting, bullying, teen suicide and other behavioral issues continue to rise, even with these programs. Today’s students need programs and education that focus on solving these social problems themselves. KEP focuses on teaching, recognizing and rewarding positive behaviors. Students are encouraged to perform, track, and share their Random Acts of Kindness, and are provided with custom stickers, bracelets and more to show their support. KEP focuses on Life Skills thru Kindness. Each lesson includes kindness while teaching confidence, kind communication skills, positive thinking, manners, philanthropy and community. KEP's curriculum is grade specific and customized to meet the needs of each specific school. In the end, KEP teaches students and families that Kindness leads to happiness and success.
