The Good Braider, A Girl From Juba

Terry Farish's South Sudanese novel THE GOOD BRAIDER meets Sudanese American performer OD Bonny's tribute song "A Girl from Juba" for a video produced by Sudanese American filmmaker Fed Ben. The novel and song both pay tribute to the women of South Sudan who made the sacrifice to come to the United States after the relentless effects of war. Shot in Portland, Maine where the novel is set, this video features the strong South Sudanese community there.
