This is a tutorial on how to use TouchMath in order to subtract. Touchpoints are a hands-on, visual, and kinesthetic strategy to help students subtract quickly and accurately, even when they don't have facts memorized yet. We are always working towards fluent memorization with our facts, but until then, touchpoints help our students to add, subtract, and multiply accurately, without using their fingers. Here is how our class initially learns to use touchpoints for subtraction.
