Student Showcase | CCSD | Northern Navajo Nation Fair 2015
College and University / Business / Finance
Students waited eagerly for their turn to be on stage, October 1, 2015,as parents and community members crowded under the shade of Central Consolidated School's pavilion to watch the performances and presentations that each school had prepared for the annual Northern Navajo Nation Fair. For weeks, these students prepared their songs, dances, Navajo language skills, and speeches to be ready for their moment to shine on stage. In addition to these performances, many schools entered hundreds of student projects and presentations into the fair to be judged and displayed at their school's booth in the exhibition hall for the community to view. Deputy Superintendent Pandora Mike explained how this event required a large collaborative effort by every department from finance, to transportation, to the schools and even the student's families. Ms. Mike expressed how proud she felt to be able to see the hard work of so many students presented to their families and the community. CCSD looks forward to participating in the Northern Navajo Nation Fair for many years to come as an opportunity to showcase the talents of their students.
