The Simple Machines like Wheels and Axles
Wheels are all around. Everywhere you look, there's a wheel. And you won't be able to look very hot without seeing a wheel with its best friend. The axle. The wheel and axle work together. A wheel is generally a round or circular object. The wheel is connected to a long bar or cylinder called an axle. The wheel turns or rolls on the axle. And the axle moves with it. A wheel rolls while the axle in the middle turns two and turns the wheel. They work together to help move heavy objects. A car is a machine that uses wheels and axles to move.
A car has two sets of wheels to make four wheels all together. Each of those sets of wheels is connected together with an axle. The wheel and axle roll and turn together to move this very large object, a cop. A bike is another machine that uses wheels and axles. In the front, there's one wheel on one axle, and in the back of the bike, there is another wheel on another axle. The one wheel turns on the one axle in the back and in the front to help the bike roll. Do it. What? What? Do it.
Wheels are all around us. Really? Wheels make the world go round. Isn't it amazing? A wheel is around object or circular object. That is connected to a long bar or cylinder in the middle called an axle. The wheel turns and rolls on and with the axle.
