Simple Harmonic Motion
Elementary / Math / Ratios and Proportions
Simple harmonic motion is a very interesting chapter and what we are going to learn is a kind of motion that repeats itself. I am sure you’d be reminded of such motion in your day to day lif. Well what I can think of is the swinging pendulum of the large clock at my grandmother’s house, the piston in my car or even the vibrations that I feel in my hand when the bat hits a ball. So this kind of motion is called periodic motion or oscillation and is the subject of this chapter. So before we go ahead, I would caution you that this chapter is very important because good understanding of this chapter will help you understand waves, sound, alternating electric currents and light a lot better. Also, this is not an easy chapter, so I suggest you listen to each lesson in this chapter rather carefully.
