Hey, it?s Jason Lindsey, on location at the Space Needle. You see it right up there standing 605 feet above Seattle. The Space Needle opened in 1962 during the Seattle World?s Fair which focused on space, science, and the future. The goal was to prove, to the world, America was the leader in the Great Space Race. Engineers built this landmark to withstand 200 miles per hour wind.
