REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11
It was the day the world was shaken. America brought to its knees. A day forever engraved on our hearts.
This video takes you on a tear- jerking journey of the events of that day as they unfolded.
The World Trade Center was a towering landmark on the New York Skyline. It?s Twin Towers a breathtaking view, especially for tourists. However, on that beautiful Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001 at 8:46 AM, terror from above would deem it vanished. Gone forever. At 9:03 AM, the second tower was hit.
President Bush tried to hide the shock as he was being told of what had just happened in front of children.
Flight 77 hit the Pentagon at 9:37, damaging one of the wings. At 10:03 AM hijackers under attack by passengers run flight 93 into the ground in ShanksVille.
The south Tower collapsed at 10:03AM and the North one at 10:28 AM.
Rubble was everywhere. Confusion and exhaustion registered on people?s faces. Grown men in tears. Humanity broken.
And then a resolve. As the police and firefighters worked through the rubble to save those stuck underneath and recover the dead. Americans rose in arms extend a helping hand to those affected. Hugs and words of comfort offered. The American Spirit rising ever higher.
Where the Twin Towers stood, now lies Ground Zero with the names of those lost on that fateful day- nearly 3000 deaths.
September 11, 2001- we witnessed the destruction of the Twin Towers, the damaging of the Pentagon and death.
Buildings can be destroyed and lives may be lost, yet the American Spirit Lives on!
