Be able to go for main engine start. 6. Four, three, two, one. And booster commission liftoff of space shuttle discovery, taking the space station to full power for full science. This is mission control Houston. Roger roll discovery I stole this system. Is a planetary system that orbits around a star. With 8 other planets and dozens of moons, asteroids and comets. So let's take a look at our solar system. The sun is the closest star to earth, and all the other planets in our solar system. Orbit around it. The sun is very important for the earth because it provides warmth and solar energy. It takes like 8 minutes to reach the earth from the sun. That means that one you look up at the sun you're actually seeing what it looks like, 8 minutes ago. At its core, it can reach 27 million °. Fahrenheit. Where does all this heat come from? The nuclear fusion. That happened in the center of a star. Releases lots and lots of energy. The closest planet to the sun is the smallest planet in our solar system. And not much larger than the moon. Mercury rotation and orbits are dear Friends with longer days and shorter years. It's circles the sun. Faster than all the other planets, which is why romance named after their messenger God. Bless. The second planet has a strong greenhouse of fat beneath its thick clouds. Making it the hottest planet in our solar system with surface temperatures, hot eating up to melt lead. Being a spin slowly in the opposite direction and is named after the romance, goddess of love and beauty. In a similar to structure in size to earth. That's us bird rock from the sun. Earth is the only planet in the solar system. That's no do I water. Did Jupiter's moon your upper may have frozen water, but this has yet to be confirmed. Because of this, earth is the only planet with life. The modern name art is believed to be at least a thousand years old. Earth is from both English and German word. Era. What's mean ground? Earth is the only planet that wasn't named after a Greek or a Roman God or goddess. Mine are closest planet. Mites has the highest mountain in the solar system. Olympus mons is 16 miles. High. Making it about three times higher than Mount Everest. Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. And the 7th largest Mars is the God of War. The planet probably got this name due to its red color, sometimes called to add the red planet. Jupiter is a bit largest planet next to the sun. This rat and orange planet has dozens of moons. Wow, I kinda like this. No gravity. Jupiter has 300 times the mass of earth. But it's what's done. And that's two and a half times the mass of all the solar system planets put together. Deep birds name comes from the king of the Roman gods. 7 is a 6 planet from the sun in the second largest planet in the solar system. This large gas giant has no hard surface unlike earth. And it's rinse consist of particles from pea size to the giant boulders. These particles are composed, mainly a water ice. Saturn was the romance made by cornice. The lord of the tight ends in Greek mythology. We are now entering the outer solar system. How long does it take to get to your anus? 9.5 years. That's how long it took a Voyager. Two. Your anus is at 7th planet from the sun. And it takes its name. From the Greek God of the sky. The ice giants is surrounded by the 27th small moon. And it rotates at nearly 90° angle from the plane of its orbit. This unique tilt makes your ears appear to spin on its side. Napkin is the 8th and farthest known planet from the sun in the solar system. Natural is 17 times the mass of earth. It is slightly more massive than its near twin Uranus. It has named after the Roman God of the sea. This planet is dark, cold, and beaten by heavy winds. Make it an eye giant. More than 30. It's a high that's far from the sun. Neptune is the only planet in our solar system, not visible to the naked eye. Watch it out. It got downgraded to a door planet 2006. That was an unhappy game for space skips. Did you know that it's actually smaller than the moon? Well, back to our star system in the 8 planets, Kenny or mad at all the star system out there and our Milky Way alone. They're just might be life out there. I'm the way a cable.

Rock and Roll discovery!
A solar system is a planetary system that orbit around a star with eight other planets and dozens of moons, asteroids and comets.
So let?s take a look at our solar system.
The sun is the closest star to earth and all the other planets in our solar system orbit around it.
The sun is very important for the earth because it provides warmth and solar energy. It takes 8 minutes to reach the earth from the sun.
That means that when you look at the sun, you are actually seeing what it looks like 8 minutes ago.
At its core, it can be 27 million degrees Fahrenheit.
Where does all these heat come from?
The nuclear fusion that happens in the center of the star and releases lots and lots of energy.
The closest planet to the sun is the smallest planet in the solar system and not much larger than the moon.
Mercury rotation makes it have longer days and shorter years. It circles the sun faster than all the other planets which is why Romans named Mercury after their messenger god.
Venus. The second planet has a stronger effect beneath it?s thick cloud making it the hottest planet in our solar system. It?s surface temperatures are enough to melt lead.
Venus spins slowly in the opposite direction and is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty.
It has similar structure and size to earth.
Earth! Earth!
That?s us! Third rock from the sun.
Earth is the only planet in the solar system that is known to have water.
Jupiter?s moon may have frozen water but this has yet to be confirmed.
Because of this, earth is the only planet with life.
The modern life, earth, is believed to be at least a thousand years old.
Earth is from an English and German word. Era, erthe, erde which means ground.
Earth is the only planet that wasn?t named after Greek or Roman god or goddess.
Mars our closest planet. Mars has the highest mountain in the solar system. Olympus Mount is 16 miles high making it about 3 times high than Mt. Everest. Mars is the 4th planet from the sun and the 2nd largest. Mars is the god of war. The planet probably got this name due to its red color. It is sometimes called as the Red Planet.
Jupiter is the 5th largest planet next to the sun. This red and orange planet has dozens of moons. I kind of like this no gravity.
Jupiter has 300 times the mass of earth but is less dense and 200 times the mass of all the solar system planets. Jupiter?s name come from the king of the Roman gods.
Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest planet in the solar system. This gas giant has not hard surface unlike earth. And it consist of particles from pee size to giant boulders. These particles are composed mainly of water and ice. Saturn was the Roman name for Kronos, the lord of the Titans in Greek Mythology.
We are now entering the outer solar system!!!
How long does it take to get to Uranus? 9.5 years.
That?s how long it took a voyageur? 2.
Uranus is the 7th planet from the sun and it takes its name from the Greek god of the sky. The ice giant is surrounded by 13 big rings and 27 small rings. It rotates are nearly 90 degrees angle from the plane of its orbit. This unique tilt makes Uranus appear to rotate on its side.
Neptune is the 8th and farthest known planet from the sun in the solar system. Neptune is 17 times the mass of earth and is slightly more massive than its near twin, Uranus. It is named after the Roman god of the sea. This planet is dark, cold and beaten by heavy wind making it an ice giant more than 30 times as far from the sun. Neptune is the only planet in the solar system not visible to the naked eye.
Poor Pluto. It got downgraded to a dwarf planet in 2006. That was an unhappy day for space geeks. Did you know that it?s actually smaller than the moon?
Well, that?s our solar system and the 8 planets. Can you imagine all the solar system out there in our milky way alone.
There just might be life out there!
I?m Nivea Cable.
