Newcomer Introduction

Hi, welcome to class. My name is miss Walter, and I'm very excited to welcome you into our English class. I can't wait to meet you soon. I thought I'd start by sharing with you a couple of things about me. First of all, this is my dog Riley. She is really sweet and my best friend and I can't wait to show you more pictures of her and share more about her with you and the rest of our class members. So I come from a pretty large family. I have 5 siblings and they are all very important to me. I have great parents that I love to see on holidays and take trips to visit. Something else about me is that I love music. I specifically am a big fan of Taylor Swift. I know every one of her songs and I will probably make lots of references to her music throughout our class. I also am a passionate reader. I love reading. I think that it is so much fun and I can't wait to hear about what some of your favorite books are and maybe read a couple of them myself. So I'm really excited to meet you. Our class is going to be a reading and writing course that is in English. And so as we go throughout the semester, if you have any questions or need any help with anything, I want you to know that you are welcome here and that I'm really excited to help you learn these things.
