Do you consider yourself a confident person? What exactly is overconfidence? Will that big bucket of green goo get dumped on Mr. C? All of these questions will be answered in episode 2 of Mornings with Mr. C returns with episode 2! Enjoy!
Rise and shine! It’s time to get your day started right. In this episode, I’m gonna let you know what this big blue thing towering above me is, and we’re also gonna explore a very important word.
That word is confidence.
Confidence is believing that you can do something. It’s like telling yourself, “Yes, I can! I’m not gonna let the chance for failure get in my way.” Take for example this splash take above my head which is full of green goo. All you have to do is hit the target. If you miss the first time, would you try again? And after that again and again? I hope that you would. You’ve probably accomplished so many challenges and things in your life already, why give up on yourself now?
Don’t let the pigeon drive the bus. Although he is quite confident. So I hear you guys are talking about the word confidence. Confidence is having the mindset that you can achieve something. If you’re self-confident, it means that you believe in yourself.
You know it!
But be cautious cause if you’re overconfident or arrogant, it means that you might think that you’re a lot better than other people. And you might come off really strong and exaggerate your abilities. Well, thanks for stopping by today. Back to you, Mr. C.

When I’m trying to get more confident at something, I always remember the three P’s. They are be prepared, stay positive, and be persistent which means that you never give up on trying. We also heard the word overconfident. What does it mean to be overconfident? Well in this next series of clips we’re gonna show you a guy who’s really overconfident so that you can learn that a little bit better.
On today’s episode of Overconfidence Outrage is a guy who thinks he’s the best at everything.
Hey, I am the best at everything.
World’s best smoothie maker. I make kale taste good.
They call me the King of Coupon Clipping. I just saved six hundred dollars.
Bottle flipping? Please.
Perfect popcorn everytime. You see any kernels in there? Nope.
] Overconfidence or bragging about how good you are, can have real negative effects. For example, if you do super amazing on a test and you’re bragging about it, it’s very possible that someone nearby studies really hard and didn’t do as well as you. The same thing goes for sports. If you win, that’s great. But you wanna show good sportsmanship.
Confidence huh? That’s a great word to know. I’m a pretty confident guy myself. I’m confident about my awesome hair, my muscles – shimmer and shine. But I’m not that confident about everything. I’m not that confident about my art right now. But I’m always trying to get better. Now remember, get yourself a safe space where you’re not gonna hurt anyone and do your best to follow along.
Start jogging friends. Our first exercise is called Hurdle Jump. Just like you hurdled a lot of obstacles in your lives, every time you see a hurdle, you’re gonna jump. Let’s begin.
Our next activity is called Can Toss. They key is to flick your wrist forward and put backspin on it. Let’s begin.
Great job keeping up. Our last activity is called the Confidence Coaster. When we see or hear a word that shows good confidence, we’re gonna throw our hands up in celebration. If it shows low confidence or overconfidence, we’re not gonna do it.
Believing in yourself.
Thinking you will fail.
Saying “Yes, I can!”
Trying your best.
Positive thinking.
Giving up easily.
Being arrogant.
Showing persistence.
Trying to overcome challenges.
