This describes a math activity based upon a report on the Today Show by Kate Snow about how over 50 people per day in the U.S. are dying as a result of abuse of painkillers. The activity is for middle grades through high school. Or it can be used with any graphing utility or program. Good mathematics with an important real world problem.
