EMT Class CPR Compression Training | Shiprock High School | Shiprock, NM

On Friday, September 11, 2015, students in Ms. Walter's EMT/Sports Medicine class at Shiprock High School had the unique opportunity to learn how to save a life in an emergency situation. Tse Bit Ai Middle School's Health Aide Cheryl George and Sports Physician, Dr. Water of Shiprock High School led the class for over an hour in CPR "Compressions-Only" and Heimlich maneuver training. This same training has been conducted at Tse Bit Ai Middle School for over 200 students and for several other classes at SHS in recent months. Ms. George indicated that this training will give students the confidence and knowledge it takes to make a difference in the Shiprock community in the event of an emergency.
