Name: Jump In Type: Small groups Equipment: White board and Marker Directions: Students will be placed in small groups 3-5 Students will be standing in a circle with their backs in The teacher will write a number on the board. Each group will have a team leader that will call out “1, 2, 3, Go” On the “Go” students will jump and turn and place one hand in the middle showing numbers 1-5 with one hand. Students are trying to add up their fingers to come up with the number the teacher placed on the board. Varieties: Increase/decrease the number of students in a group Write multiple numbers on the board so students move up as needed. Change it to addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.
