Classroom Brain Breaks - Builders and Bulldozers

Name: Builders and Bulldozers Grade: K-5 Time: 3-5 minutes or the length of one song Type: Whole class Formation: Standing next to their chair pushed in Where/How: Standing in place Equipment: 1-2 Builders 1-2 Bulldozers Directions: Teachers will assign students to be builders and bulldozers. Builders and Bulldozers will walk around and tap students on their shoulders. Bulldozers will tap students that are standing by their chairs. Builders will tap students that are squatting by their chairs. Students tapped by a Bulldozer will squat down and students tapped by a builder will stand up. After a minute see who has the most of their kind and then assign new builders and bulldozers.
