CIW Internet Business Associate Lesson 3: Cloud Computing
College and University / Business
Google Docs is an excellent place to stage this practice but if your school does not permit access to the site, you can simply have students share documents via email, flash drive, or an internal repository. Begin with a group project (based on the composition of your class this could be a group presentation on Cloud Computing or any other topic from the course to date or a tangential topic of your choosing). Using only the tools of collaboration (word documents, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.) have each group of four or five students work on creating a final document. Communication is restricted to electronic transmissions rather than real time group discussions. Once completed, students will discuss the benefits of cloud computing versus real time meetings.
