Chemical Reactions: Day 4 - Magnesium Salts and Ammonia

Day 4 of Experimenting with the Chemical Reaction of Magnesium Salts and Ammonia
Hi, everyone. I'm going to do the fourth experiment, part four reaction between magnesium sulfate and ammonia. And the instructions tell us to take a jar and put about a half a cup of water in. And then some epsom salt and I bought that at the store for about a dollar. At the grocery store. I've got it in the jar. And then we'll take some household cleaning ammonia, mine is lemon scented, so if nothing else, a little smell nice. I spilled a little on the counter, so I'll wipe that right up.
There we go. And now we're supposed to stir it so the epsom salts dissolve. And then starting to see that the clear water, the plate. Okay, hopefully that's enough. And what did I see is it's pretty white. And milky, I can not see all the way through it. In fact, if I look closely, I can see some, it looks like kind of snow swirling around at the bottom.
There, and also, it looks like a bunch of bubbles are coming up to the surface. So it asks us to wait a half an hour, so I will stop this video. And we'll come back in half an hour and see what we've got.
