This lesson introduces Unit 3 - The Atom Theory. The contributions of Greek Philosopher Democritus are discussed. We then fast-forward to John Dalton who gathered the evidence to support the first Atomic Theory. Dalton's Law (Law of Multiple Proportions) is introduced and presented as the major piece of evidence supporting the atomic theory.
