Baamboozle
Gaming in the Classroom
The technology lesson demonstration assignment I have chosen to use bamboozle. If you go home to the home screen and you scroll down, you can hit play games. And here you can see you can search by topic if we did math. You would be able to click on whichever one you want in, you can play the games edit the games, setting, slideshow, and these are already prepared for you. And like I said, you can edit them to fit your lesson. And the one that I am doing today to prepare for a unit two test, it is math vocabulary. And as you can see, I have added 6 questions. And if you click on each question, the answer will pop up. Right here in the lower corner is the point system that I have chosen to use. If you go to edit of your game, you can choose multiple choice. You can put an image with your question you can do a point system, whatever you wanted to do. If you hit close, it just goes back. And if you hit play, it allows you to choose teams.
Now you can use power ups, I did not choose to use power ups because you have to unlock bamboozle, which I believe is a subscription. But it would be good if you're wanting to use this throughout an entire school year. I chose two teams. If I click play, two teams, classic team one will start and they will pick any numbers. Let's say they hit 7. What does it mean to add? They will give me the answer and it will either be wrong or right. If it's right, as you can see right here, they will get the points of the 15 points that I have added. When ten points apply, that was a, that was a bonus square. As you can, if you remember, I only had 6 questions.
They will add bonus squares in there and it keeps it fun. If they do not give it, then they will get no points. This is a fun, great way to get students engaged, and I think it's even better that if we click home again and go down to play games, this gives us an even better opportunity to do anything that we wanted. Am I supposed to? Anything that we wanted. This is science. You can edit it to fit your lesson. And this was a great tool. It was easy to use very teacher friendly.
