AutoSTEM The Jellybird Tutorial
Science
Welcome to the jelly birch tutorial from auto stem. First of all, you can see the papers that we've already printed and are cut and that is suitable. And here we've already cut out the pieces. The next piece to cut out is to struts and you take these strut and put it onto the cardboard. Drawing all the way round it, and then cut round the shape. We now stick the body of the bird together, and as you can see, a gum stick, and you stick along the lines. Make sure you don't stick to the very end so you've got room to add the beak and the tail. When you stick the second body, make sure that the dotted line in the side there is showing you'll need that soon. Now we meet the wings, you take the struts, one of the stripes, and then the wing, and you've got the dotted lines there, so you know how far to put it up, just put it as far as dotted line as you can see. On one side, and then repeat the process. On the other side. And put these aside for now. Next we're going to stick the second strut as cup out of a cardboard, and that's going on. Lined up with the dotted line. Next, the tail goes on the rounded end, push it between the two parts, and the beak. At the more pointed end, but of glue. And in that case. Finally we put the eyes which have been clued already, on either side. The last part is to put in the wings of with the strut. Now this can be a little bit fiddly, but persevere, and it will go through nicely. And there you have your jelly part, flying off into the sunset.
