This is an educational, historical parody of Weezer's "Beverly Hills," but instead of being envious of the Beverly Hills lifestyle, a Spartan hoplite wonders what life would be like as an Athenian citizen. 432 years Before Common Era, a Spartan hoplite wonders what it would be like to be an Athenian and to part, with the military-centric lifestyle he has been accustomed to all of his life.
Where I come from isn't all that great.
We train for war pretty much all day.
Was taken away from mom and dad
When I was only seven years old
I didn't go to fancy schools.
LIberal arts weren't taught to me.
Why should they cause this is Sparta
I learned to form a phalanx.
