An Introduction to Bicycle Gear Ratios

This video looks at how to calculate gear ratios particularly in the case of bicycles. It then shows how to calculate how far a bicycle will travel with one turn of the pedals based on the gear ratio and the wheel size. Finally it is shown how to calculate the diameter of an old-fashioned bicycle front wheel that would travel the same distance in one turn of the pedals.
