The Florida Museum of Natural History hosted opening-day activities Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, for its featured exhibit “A T. rex Named Sue.” The event featured paleontologists, fossil clubs and collections, as well as guest appearances from Ronald McDonald and University of Florida mascot Albert. “A T. rex Named Sue” features a fully articulated cast skeleton of the dinosaur as well as a dig pit and other family-friendly interactives allowing visitors to learn about Sue’s movement, vision and sense of smell. The Florida Museum will display the exhibit through Sept. 13, 2015. This exhibition was created by The Field Museum, Chicago, and made possible through the generosity of the McDonald’s Corporation.
