Reading the book called "A Place for Pluto" by Stef Wade
Hello, it's mister catcher again with another show me award. This one is called a place for Pluto by Steph wade. This was obviously a fiction book, but it is based on some real events. Planets don't really have faces. For the better part of forever, Pluto was a planet. One of the famous 9, mercury Venus earth Mars, Jupiter Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, he will see smallest and farthest from the sun, but he was proud just the same. Pluto. Then one day Saturn with a rings flashing at Jupiter with his entourage of moons beside him told Pluto the worst news ever. You're not a planet anymore. You're just not big enough. Sorry. Even though Pluto orbited around the sun, it was mostly around the creatures on earth decided he was too small. I mean, all the school books. Time to rewrite history. I don't have time for this. I got visitors to prepare for.
That's Mars, we're always sending robots there. Pluto was crushed. He tried to protest, but it was no use. Feeling sad and rejected Pluto left with charon and his other four moons by his side to find his place in the galaxy. As Pluto moved along, he is friend ailey's comet streak back. Past. Haven't seen you for a while? Yeah, I get that a lot. And there was a comet and still part of the solar system, but comets have tails and Pluto did not. Pluto wasn't the Commodore plant and he was a nobody. Feeling more blue than brown, Pluto kept moving. When Pluto saw Jim Percy at Ori crashing into the dusty rocky comet tails, he wondered if he could join them. The meteoroids were always having fun and clowning around. This time they were trying to smash into earth. You should try this Pluto. No thanks, earth is kind of like a mother to me. Plus of Pluto crashing into the earth that would probably lead to the extinction of most human life. Then Ida the asteroid orbited by Pluto and Ida, we're nearly the same size, Pluto thought he finally figured out his true identity.
Hey, I did. Do you mind if I join you for a spin of the asteroid belt? Wish you could Pluto, but the rule books is rocks only. You know, asteroids are rocks, right? Pluto wasn't a planet or a comet or an asteroid, he must be in a planet. He must his old friends, he missed feeling like he belonged. Too small to be a planet too big to be a rock, he used to fit in here, but now I do not. No one in the solar system was a match for Pluto. He spun around the sun like everyone else, but he wasn't a planet or a comet or an asteroid or a meteoroid. Pluto had nowhere to turn. He was about to give up when he saw somebody had never seen before. He felt like he was looking in a mirror. Pardon me if I sound rude, but what are you? I have a dwarf planet. My name is Harris, and these are my Friends. And Ceres. And I was a kid that used to call serious an asteroid, but hey. Pluto stared and wondered the four dwarf planets.
They were too small to be planets but too big to be rocks. They were not planets or comets or asteroids or meteoroids. They were just like him. You're just to have been searching for. Really? Then you should join us. Who do I felt more like himself than ever before? He couldn't wait to tell his old friends about his new one. Turns out his old friends missed him too. We're sorry, Pluto. Just because you're not a planet, this doesn't mean we don't love you. Pluto was over the moon. So to speak, he was part of the solar system with his friends, both old and new. He smiled at an intergalactic smile that was out of this Milky Way. Dwarf planet has a nice ring to it. Get it Saturn. I'm so glad you're making friends. Neighbors forever, dwarf planets are rock. Let's celebrate with some chocolate because he's Mars and the virus. These feelings wore me to the core where I could feel the love. Glad you're not feeling blue anymore, not there's anything wrong with that.
Neptune, when they discovered Neptune, you know what they wanted to name it. They wanted to name it George. Luckily, they didn't. Way to go a little man. Till we meet again. Anyway, a little history back in 1930 when astronomers first discovered Pluto, they called it a planet because they were a little anxious to make a big discovery, but in 2006, they decided no Pluto was just too small. So it got demoted. But people still love Pluto. One of 5 dwarf planets in the solar system. Hope you enjoyed this. This is a show me nominee for the 2021 school year. If you go to the mobile district, I will tell you how you can vote on that. Everyone stay safe and keep watching the skies.
