A Capitol Performance | Shiprock High School’s Jazz Band at the New Mexico State Capitol | CCSD

Shiprock High School’s Jazz Band filled the New Mexico State Capitol with a mix of modern and classic jazz tunes as visitors and lawmakers watched their performance, Feb. 9, 2016. Band director Paul Magnuson led the group of 16 students on the trip. The Jazz Band was invited by Rep. Sharon Clahchischilliage to perform on the House floor at the capitol in 2014. She invited the group back this year to showcase their talents in the capitol rotunda.
