2016 Student Voice
High School / Arts / Art
I am very pleased to announce that the Minister for Education’s office has approved a funding allocation of $2,000,000 to Ivanhoe Primary School to replace some relocatable classrooms and minor refurbishments to buildings in poor condition. The Minister was clearly impressed by the quality of the educational programs he saw and agreed that improvements to the learning spaces were necessary. I would like to thank our teachers and School Council president who joined with me on the Minister’s tour of the school to take a closer look at our facilities. The Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, James Merlino was particularly impressed with the calibre of our student House Captains who were able to clearly articulate a student voice that was representative of our school. I am quite certain that the sit down discussion between the Minister and the students contributed to this very favourable outcome.
