About Me : In the Mix is the Emmy award winning PBS documentary series for teens. Over 60 half hour programs on topics of critical interest to teens are available as educational DVDs. The series has won numerous national and international awards for excellence, including a national EMMY for Community Service Programming, CINE Gold Eagles. The New York Festivals, the Prix Jeunesse and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting Gold Award. In the Mix was named to the first Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Honor Roll for promoting values for diversity and challenging racial and gender stereotypes. In the last five years, the ALA’s Young Adult Library Services Association has chosen seven In the Mix videos for their “Selected Videos†lists.
