SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. In our daily lives, we use a myriad of items that contain toxic chemicals. Due to some people’s irresponsible behaviour a lot of these items or their remains often get released into the natural environment. Under the exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays, many plastic items release hazardous substances that might become fatal for many species. Moreover, many animals die after they get trapped in the rubbish. Some animals choke having mistaken trash for food. As a result, between two hundred and two thousand species are driven to extinction every year. If we don’t stop polluting one, day the list of extinct species might include one more species: us.
