Science

A science video that explains the concepts of force and motion.

FORCE AND MOTION
Mr. Thompson?s video explains in very simple terms what force is and what motion is. He further goes on to give examples that will enable any student to understand this topic very easily.
What is force?
Force is a push or a pull
And, what is motion?
Motion is moving an object from one place to another.
He explains that work needs effort, and that different jobs require more or less work.
For example; if two workers are to move the same about of load, covering the same distance then the force needed to move these loads is the same.
Hence, same load and same distance equals the same force needed to do to the work.
Generally, larger loads require more work or force and smaller loads require less work or force.
Another example; If worker A pushes a wheelbarrow with three books and an apple, and worker B pushes a wheelbarrow with only an apple both men covering the same distance, who has done more work?
Worker A has done more worker since he had a larger load.
Let?s look at another example; if worker A and worker B have the same loads but worker A moves a longer distance than worker B, who has done more work?
Remember: The longer the distance one moves, the more work they do!
In our example above, worker A has done more worker than worker B.
I hope this explains it for you.
